The winners of Fluidra Day 2015 have been selected! We are happy to be able to announce the three charity projects chosen in this year’s edition, each of which will receive a donation of 3,000 euros.
“We Swim like Dolphins” – Institut Guttman Foundation
Proposed by: Joan Navas, from Fluidra SA
This project consists in water therapy for children with serious illnesses and health problems that affect their physical development, their relationships with their peers and their independence, amongst other difficulties.
“Revamping the Playground” – Roser Capdevila primary school
Proposed by: Patricia Cortés, from Metalast
Roser Capdevila primary school in Polinyà (Barcelona) has 481 pupils of between 3 and 12 years old. The aim of the project “Revamping the Playground” is to renovate the school’s playground, install an automatic irrigation system in the garden area that surrounds it and build a new fountain.
“Purification Tablets” – UNICEF
Proposed by: Montse Sardañons, from Fluidra Comercial España
By setting up this project, UNICEF wishes to send water purification tables to some of the planet’s most underprivileged areas – or in a state of emergency – where water is not suitable for human consumption, especially for children. Each purification tablet turns 4 litres of dirty water into drinking water.
The panel of judges for Fluidra Day 2015 highlighted the huge social value of all of the projects submitted and the difficulty of whittling them down to just three winners. Living Fluidra would like to thank everybody who took the trouble to take part in this initiative that makes us so proud and we hope that next year’s edition will be just as (or even more!) successful.
Thanks to all of you!
