Following months of preparations, the Piscina & Wellness Barcelona trade exhibit opened its doors on 13 October. Over four hectic days, staff from a number of the group’s companies presented our range of products and services to more than 13,000 visitors who attended the fair.
Occupying over 1.200 m2, Fluidra’s products were displayed on seven stands: Fluidra Comercial España, Gre, Idegis, IML, Aquabot, Aquavia and Aquant.
All of the group’s latest products and the services of Fluidra Engineering were showcased on the Fluidra Comercial España stand, in addition to two innovate developments that are revolutionising the world of pools: Fluidra Connect and FreePool. This was also the first time that Certikin and AstralPool shared the same stand.
At this edition of Piscina & Wellness, there were two areas worth highlighting: the Wellness Experience and the Innovation Zone.
A fully up and running wellness centre was recreated at the core of the Wellness Experience area, where products from leading companies were on display. There was also an advisory service that gave information on the most suitable design, size, equipment, products and services for creating, refurbishing and managing a wellness centre. Fluidra was the area’s Sponsor of Excellence.
In the Innovation Zone future trends in the world of pools were displayed, amongst which, Fluidra Connect, our remote maintenance system stood out. The Innovation Zone was also the place where the results of the Piscina & Wellness 2015 Awards were announced. We obtained a commendation in the Sustainable Product category for our all-in-one treatment system for public pools, FreePool.
Fluidra also gave talks on Fluidra Planet, Fluidra Connect, FreePool and the success story of South America (together with Pentair in the latter case) at the venue’s Speakers’ Corner.
Both the organisers – Fluidra’s CEO, Eloi Planes, is the president of the exhibit’s organising committee – and the exhibitors at Piscina & Wellness highlighted the palpable air of optimism felt this year at the Fira de Barcelona exhibition centre. This could be put down to the fact that in the first semester of 2015, the sector in Spain increased its sales by 8%!
