New projects in the Asia region. The government of the city of Taipei, in Taiwan, has awarded the group the design, supply and installation of the Olympic and training pools for the 29th Summer Universiade, the world university swimming championships that will take place in Taipei from 19 to 30 August 2017.
Fluidra Engineering Services will be responsible for rolling out this project valued at €5.1 million and to that end will draw on the Skypool floating system manufactured by Metalast and the Nefrona water treatment compact system. Skypool allows for the construction of a temporary pool without affecting the pavilion floor because it is not anchored to it. Both solutions have already been successfully deployed in other international swimming championships.
The two pools will later be definitively transferred to the National Taiwan Sport University Multipurpose Gymnasium in the south of Taiwan.
