One of the things that sets Fluidra apart is its ability to leverage the opportunities around it. This was demonstrated by Óscar Piquer (Fluidra SA), Roger Vallés, and Sonia Guix (IBERSPA) when they attempted to design the first private-pool energy rating system on the market.
“Our market analysis found there is an energy rating for buildings, household appliances and cars but no standard classification for water-related products.” (Roger Vallés)
During this year’s Innovation Week, the group worked hard to design a rating system that could determine the most and least energy-effective pools. This would give a ranking which would allow pool users to compare their pools with those of their friends and families.
How many sustainable pools are there on the market? The development of Pool Score further powers Fluidra’s name as a brand committed to industry sustainability. We created a highly visual tool that helps customers be aware of where they are and how far they can go in helping improve the planet thanks to the water sector. (Sonia Guix)
As explained during the project presentation, a standardized rating system would encourage users to choose models that were more sustainable, both for the savings in their pocket and greater environmental protection.
“We wanted to raise consciousness and understanding about the limited nature of the world’s resources. The aim of our project is to help prevent water and energy waste.” (Óscar Piquer)
