We’re unstoppable! The workers at SACOPA have now occupied the new production centre, SACOPA 10, devoted to plastic injection moulding and one of the group’s most cutting-edge worksites.

The new plant was designed following three of the most efficient work philosophies: lean manufacturing, the Mizu philosophy and the automatic distribution of plastic goods. And the result is spectacular! At SACOPA 10 we have attained maximum production output whilst having minimum environmental impact and ensuring the health and safety of everyone who works there. 

Why is SACOPA 10 so amazing?

1. Because of its innovation

The entire production system is controlled from a scheduling system, from which the work to be carried out is distributed, and the parts and tools involved in each process are singled out. In addition, we have one of the most advanced automated, centralised raw material distribution systems in the world, which automatically measures out and sends plastic to the injection moulding machines.

SACOPA 10 is the maximum expression of efficiency, safety, connectivity and improved productivity. It marks the path to the fourth industrial revolution.

2. Because of its commitment to the environment

The new production plant has a number of energy efficiency systems for saving power. Examples of this are the closed refrigeration circuits, the compressors with variable-frequency drives, centralised air conditioning and zoned warehouses, amongst others.

Likewise, the site has innovative lighting systems by IGNIALIGHT, which give unprecedented control over power consumption.

3. Because of the working conditions

The design and layout of the new production plant prioritise the health and safety of our colleagues at SACOPA so that they have enhanced working conditions.

The innovations introduced to the production process have improved work times and output. Employees now receive the materials and tools that they need for their working day at their workstations, without the need to fetch them and thus cut down the risk of errors occurring.

But that’s not all. SACOPA 10 is a pioneering worksite in progress that is currently being equipped with a plastic injection moulding clean room for the pharmaceutical and medical sector. Thus, the SACOPA production plant will run at full capacity in 2018.
