Following an intense week, Innovation Week drew to a close. Friday October 5 saw the 12 participants present the projects they had been working hard and enthusiastically on to a panel of judges.
The first project presented was “Kirin”, a designer chimney that both decorates and heats a pool, developed by Nuria Cornejo, from Metalast; Edgar Alastrué, from Fluidra Thailand Export; and Elena Balykova, from Fluidra Kazakhstan.
Then it was the turn of Paula Sotomayor, from Manufacturas GRE; David Blasco, from Inquide; and Rick de Laat, from SIBO Fluidra to show the project on which they had worked, “Improv3d”, a new smart technical system for pools.
Alba Carandell, from Aquatron; Nikolay Slivkin, from Fluidra Kazakhstan; and Pablo Teran, from Fluidra Accelera, likewise worked all week on “Kamaleon”, a naturally heated pool.
Last but not least, Oscar Piquer, from Fluidra SA; Roger Vallés and Sonia Guix, both from IBERSPA presented “Pool Score”, the first energy rating system for private pools in the market.
After the presentations, the panel had a tough time choosing a winner. Finally, based on the usefulness, feasibility, and innovation involved with the project, the judges decided that the winners of the second Innovation Week were…
“Improv3d” and “Kamaleon”!
The winning group will now have the opportunity to develop their work at Fluidra Accelera, the Fluidra branch dedicated to fostering innovative projects related to the world of water. Our colleagues will become true entrepreneurs within the company. A huge congratulations to the winners!
We would also like to mention and give heartfelt thanks to the other participants who worked hard over the week and presented some great projects. The innovative spirit and enterprising attitude of Fluidra employees will help keep us as a leader in the pool and wellness sector. We know it’s our people that make us stand out.
Thank you everybody and see you again next time!
